Business activities and Developments

"Agriculture Materials"
We produce the fruit growing bags to grow high-quality, safe, and delicious fruits.
We have acquired high reputation due to excellence of our products not only in Japan, but also all over the world.
We have established a strong production system by utilizing Japanese technology at the factory in China established on our own capital in 2000.
We contribute as much as possible to the aim that consumers all over the world can eat safer and higher quality fruits.

"Flower Materials (for florists)"
Many wholesale stores and flower markets all over Japan have been using our original products.
From now on we will continue to conduct marketing, pursue good quality, meet customer's needs, and create Flower Materials booming.
We continue to produce the useful products not only for flower industry but also for other ones for future.

"Original Packages (ForJapan market only)"
We can make a packaged proposal of our original products such as wrapping paper, hand carry bag, label, etc. to our customers and help them to enhance their brand value and increase their profit.
We are also very proud of having some capable staffs to shape up customer's various needs and requirements.

1935	For the production of fruit growing bags, Mr. Masashi Hoshino established "Hoshino Yumatsu Shoten", the pioneer of wax coated bag in Niigata Prefecture.
1953	Established a corporation with a capital of 4 million JPY and started to deal in raw material papers.
1954	Increased the capital to 6 million JPY.
1959	Established a factory in Shirone City (now Niigata City) and production of paper bags for peach, pear and apple started with installation of three coating machines, twenty sawing machines, a slitting machine, two pouch forming machines and an offset printing machine.
1971	Increased the capital to 12 million JPY.
1972	Relocated the factory to the present site.
1973	Installed a high-speed slitting and rewinding machine and a 1,100mm slitting machine were installed.
1975	Installed a high-speed slitting machine.
1977	Increased the capital to 24 million JPY.
1978	Changed company name to "Hoshino Yoshiten Co., Ltd." Installed a two-color offset printing machine.
1979	Started production of high-quality packaging materials & paper retail bags.
1981	Obtained a patent of in-house developed double apple paper bags. Started production of flower wrapping materials with offset screen printings.
1982	Installed a 1,600mm cutting machine and an 800mm offset two-color rotary printer.
1985	Bought a land of 600 tsubos in the Kameda industrial estate (Niigata City) Installed a semi-automatic screen printing system. Started to export fruit paper bags to Taiwan.
1986	Started to export fruit paper bags to Korea.
1988	Installed another semi-automatic screen printing machine, aimed at meeting with increasing needs from both domestic & overseas customers.
1991	Purchased a room of resort condominium in Myokokogen Town (now Myoko City) for employee's welfare.
1995	Installed two boilers with output of 1,500 g/h each.
1999	Installed two triangle-bag forming machines designed to produce triangle grape bags. Established Flower material division aiming at expanding sales all over Japan.
2000	Established an overseas factory in Shandong, China and started operation. Started to export products to Chile.
2003	Increased the capital to 50 million JPY.
2005	Changed company name to "Hoshino Co., Ltd.".
2006	Established a strategic business alliance with "Floral Support Co., Ltd.", the wholesale store of flower materials.
2007	Started taking action to obtain certification of ISO 9001:2000.
2008	Obtained certification of ISO 9001:2000. Launched a project "Niigata Gift Line Project: COTOMOTO".
2009	Obtained certification of ISO 9001:2008. Replaced in two new boilers with output of 1,000 g/h each to cope with Global Environmental Issues.
